Ammonia - Ammonium Hydroxide has proven to be a very dependable and reliable H2S scrubbing agent, even in cold weather conditions. This chemical has a high capacity of absorbing H2S and CO2 , and is virtually unaffected by other components in the gas stream. Aqueous ammonia is widely used throughout the world, making this chemical scrubbing agent easily accessible and an economically viable solution to noxious emissions in many oilfield applications.
Am-Gas Scrubbing Systems has been involved with a number of chemical professionals for over 15 years to develop improved chemicals to scrub H2S emissions for use within our proprietary scrubbing units . This relationship has resulted in our having an exclusive distribution right for Paratene TM M320 (our most adaptable scrubber).

Paratene TM M320 is a blend of alkaline salts and unique hydrogen sulphide scavengers for use in our mobile and stationary units. Paratene TM M320 reacts rapidly with hydrogen sulphide to form water-soluble by-products, is only partially affected by CO2, and works efficiently at low temperatures. A higher capacity version "Paratene TM M320 Plus" is also available.  In addition to Paratene TM M320, Am-Gas also supplies the following products:

Paratene TM M310 is a unique water-soluble hydrogen sulphide scavenger for use in industrial cleaning operations, sweetening stored sour crude oil, sweetening sour crude oil tank bottoms, and sour water. Paratene TM M310 reacts rapidly with hydrogen sulphide to form water-soluble by-products. Paratene TM M310 is unaffected by CO2 and works efficiently at low temperatures.

Paratene TM M311 is a oil-soluble hydrogen sulphide scavenger for use in oilfield operations to sweeten dry sour crude oil and sour condensates. Paratene TM M311 reacts rapidly with hydrogen sulphide to form oil-soluble by-products. Paratene TM M311 is unaffected by CO2 and works efficiently at low temperatures.

Paratene TM M315 is a unique hydrogen sulphide scavenging solution for use in sweetening sour gas using a bubble tower scrubber. Paratene TM M315 reacts rapidly with hydrogen sulphide to form water-soluble by-products, is non-regulated, is unaffected by CO2, and works efficiently at low temperatures.

Paratene TM M316 is a hydrogen sulphide scavenging solution designed for continuous injection treatments to sour gas flow lines to remove H2S. Paratene TM M316 is designed to react quickly with the gas allowing removal of the H2S in very short contact times.

Paratene TM M330 is a unique hydrogen sulphide scrubbing solution that reacts rapidly with hydrogen sulphide to form water-soluble by-products. Paratene TM M330 is unaffected by CO2, works efficiently low temperatures, is designed to provide high performance in a non-hazardous mixture, contains a deodorizer, and is non-regulated under existing TDG regulations. M330 is used in our portable scrubbers and in our tank truck mounted scrubbers.

ParateneTM M339 is a blend of solvents and surfactants designed to improve the removal of organic contaminants and odour causing species from gas emissions. Paratene TM M339 removes many common toxic odorants, leaves a slight orange fragrance to the discharged gases, and can be added to any of the ParateneT water based scavenging products.

Paratene TM D727 is a blend of low toxicity surfactants in water intended to aid in the removal of hazardous contaminants from process equipment. Paratene TM D727 will neutralize pyrophoric iron sulphides and convert them to iron oxides, irreversibly remove H2S at a rate of 1000-2000 ppm H2S per 1% of D727 used, and will remove organic deposits from contact surfaces and leave the surfaces in a water-wet condition.

Disposal:

Ammonia and Paratene M320 are easily disposed of in a Class 1a or 1b disposal well
